London's Story

The Heart Behind Our Mission
London Quinn Dixon was born still on July 14th, 2021 at 7:42 a.m., weighing 6 lbs. 14 oz. and measuring 19 inches long. Delivered by a loving surrogate, London had been an active, spirited presence throughout the pregnancy—dancing, flipping, and shy whenever it was time for an ultrasound. During her 4D scan, she was caught playfully licking the umbilical cord, a moment that made everyone laugh. Her parents often imagined her as curious, adventurous, and full of personality—especially with her adorable curly hair.
When Kristin and Steve entered the hospital room to meet their daughter for the first time, they expected only tears. But instead, a deep sense of serenity filled the space. London lay peacefully, dressed in a handcrafted angel gown made by hospital volunteers, swaddled in a lavender blanket with a matching hat. Lavender quickly became more than a color—it became a symbol of London’s presence, now felt in moments of calm and beauty.
Though London’s time was brief, her impact has been profound. She didn’t just pass through this world—she left an imprint on everyone who met her or heard her story. London Is The Reason was born from that legacy: to honor her life by supporting others through theirs.
The organization stands as a safe space for those navigating the grief of infant loss, surrogacy loss, and infertility. We recognize that intended parents grieve deeply, mourning not just a child, but a lifetime of dreams. We also see the quiet heartbreak that surrogates carry—often layered with guilt or a sense of having failed, despite their courage and care.
London's mission is bigger than one life. It’s about building a compassionate network of support, offering free resources, peer-led comfort, and access to trauma-informed care. Through her story, we hope others find healing, hope, and the reminder that no one should walk this journey alone.
